Fireworks display on new year day

New year, new ideas

As a kid I remember this somewhat of a tradition where we all sat round my dad’s favorite coffee table reading out a list of things we wanted to improve on or change completely going into the new year, we called them New Year Resolutions. However, with time I grew older and left my parents’ for school and almost always spent my holidays away from home that I never had to think about writing out a list of things I wanted to improve on or abolish completely in my day-to-day interactions with people.

Well things have changed (for the better of course), as I have decided that I would make a few changes to the way my life in general (with special emphasis on my work as a front-end developer).

That said, in the past couple of months I have read loads and loads of articles on how important it is for designers and developers to have their own blog (or contribute to a blog). I have now decided that starting with this first article which is my official initiation into the blog-o-sphere, I would write an article every other day (or maybe every an article every two days) just so I could share my knowledge about the few things I love working on e.g. WordPress, Facebook application developmentMagento eCommerce, cakePHP and so on…

So you can pause (for a second or two) and bookmark this website because I am going to be sharing my experience and knowledge (which I must say is quite elaborate) from about eight  years of working in this industry both as an interface designer and as a developer.
